The Challenge
Amid significant social, political, and economic change, the Weissberg Foundation sought to strengthen governance, advance equity, and align Board and staff around a shared vision for impact. The Foundation needed to evolve its structure, expand its board, and respond meaningfully to community needs.
The Approach
As Board Chair, Courtney partnered with the Executive Director and trustees to guide an intentional transformation process. She led a strategic board expansion to achieve balanced family and independent representation, with half of trustees identifying as BIPOC. She also championed a 360° Executive Director evaluation and facilitated Board alignment around a surge funding strategy to meet urgent community needs.
